Mammom Launches Menu Dedicated to Home-Cooked Classics From Across Vietnam

In a nod to the adage “nothing beats Mom’s cooking”, Hanoi’s Mammom restaurant has introduced a menu brimming with home-cooked favourites that takes diners on a culinary pilgrimage of Vietnam’s north, centre and south.

Situated at 23 Phan Dinh Phung, renowned as one of Hanoi’s most picturesque streets due to its parallel rows of Dracontomelon trees, Mammom opened last year. Open daily for lunch and dinner, it is the newest restaurant to come under the umbrella of Viet Deli, the company behind some of Vietnam’s most popular dining establishments.

Crafted by chef Truong Minh Triet, the menu features selections of appetizers including “mon rau” (vegetables), “mon man” (fish paste dishes), “mon cuon” (rolls) and “nom goi” (Vietnamese salad). “Lau” (hotpot), “ga” (chicken), “vit” (duck), “heo” (pork), “bo” (beef), “ca” (fish), “cua” (crab), “tom” (prawns and shrimps) and “muc” (squid) main dishes are complemented by “mon phu” (side dishes), “canh” (Vietnamese broth) and “com” (rice). The menu also includes “mon thuan thuc vat” (a vegetarian corner) and “trang mieng” (dessert).

Highlights include “bo nuong la lot” (grilled beef wrapped in piper lolot leaves), “banh goi Ha Noi” (Hanoi pillow-shaped dumplings), “goi ngo sen tom thit” (lotus stem salad with shrimp and port), “vit tap vung” (roasted duck with galangal and sesame), “ca loc kho tieu” (stewed snakehead fish with black pepper) and “cua rang me” (tamarind glazed crab).

“With the restaurant’s name inspired by a child’s first words, each dish on this menu is designed to evoke the nostalgia of mom’s home-cooked meals and the warmth of a

Vietnamese home,” Viet Deli country general manager Nguyen Quoc Hoa said. “For lovers of Vietnamese cuisine, this menu brings together the rich culinary heritage of North, Central and Southern Vietnam; celebrating fresh, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients and balancing flavours and textures in a way no cuisine does better than Vietnamese cuisine.”

The restaurant’s spacious interior features parquet floors, classic hand-carved timber dining tables and chairs, fluted booths, and original Vietnamese paintings and sculptures. Mammom is also a finalist in the 2025 Asia Hospitality Awards category Asia’s Finest Local Restaurant (Vietnam).

The menu’s prices range from 35,000 VND (USD 1.35) for appetiser “dua cai be” (pickled mustard greens) up to 895,000 VND (USD 34.50) for the “lau cua Ca Mau” (Ca Mau crab hotpot). The menu can be accessed here.

In addition to Mammom, Viet Deli’s stable of restaurants includes HOME Hanoi, All Seasons Buffet Danang in Danang, HOME Hoi An and Gia Thien Restaurant in Hoi An, All Seasons Buffet Nha Trang and Ngon Gallery Restaurant in Nha Trang, and HOME Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City.
