IHG Hotels & Resorts Promotes Alexandra LaLoggia to Area Director of Sales and Marketing for InterContinental Chicago, Kimpton Gray and Kimpton Journeyman

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) today announced the promotion of Alexandra LaLoggia to Area Director of Sales and Marketing. In her expanded role, LaLoggia will oversee commercial efforts for the 792-room InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile, the 293-room Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago, and the 158-room Kimpton Journeyman Hotel in Milwaukee.

LaLoggia joined InterContinental Chicago in 2019 and was soon promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing in 2020 where she has since managed the sales and marketing efforts of the property and its more than 45,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. This property anchors the Windy City’s Magnificent Mile, a hub for locals, tourists to Chicago, and a multitude of corporate events. 


In the previous year alone, under her leadership, the hotel exceeded all major revenue targets in 2024, closing the year at 106 percent of its group goal and 120 percent of its business travel goal. Her team also achieved the highest employee satisfaction scores among more than 4,400 IHG properties in North America and produced four Diamond Circle award winners—IHG’s highest recognition for sales performance in the Americas.


In her new expanded role, LaLoggia will additionally support the Kimpton Gray Hotel, a design-forward luxury lifestyle property in Chicago’s Loop with a dedicated events floor and modern boardrooms, along with three restaurant and bar concepts. She will also oversee the Kimpton Journeyman in Milwaukee, known for its rooftop gatherings and community-focused events. She will guide commercial teams across all three hotels with a focus on driving group performance, expanding strategic partnerships, and mentoring emerging leaders across IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.

Prior to joining IHG, LaLoggia held senior sales leadership roles with Loews Hotels and at several landmark properties in Chicago and Los Angeles. She is known for her calm, decisive leadership and is an active mentor within IHG’s commercial organization.
