The Edinburgh Grand, Scotland’s first Luxury Collection hotel, has unveiled the Spa at The Edinburgh Grand, a new luxury wellness experience set within the former Bank of Scotland vaults beneath St Andrew Square.

Located on the hotel’s spacious lower ground floor, the new wellness space transforms the historic vaults into a calm and design-led retreat in the heart of the city. The addition introduces three private treatment suites, bringing results-driven expertise of London’s most in-demand skin clinics to Edinburgh.
Designed as a refined dry spa, the concept reflects the evolving needs of the modern traveller. Rather than traditional wet facilities, Spa at the Edinburgh Grand focuses on precision-led facials and advanced body therapies that deliver visible results in a serene, time-efficient setting. The space is open to both hotel guests and local residents complementing the hotel’s preexisting gym within the vaults, which features state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.
Original architectural proportions have been carefully preserved, while oak‑lined walls, limestone finishes and Calacatta Viola stone creates a contemporary, calming environment that maintains the building’s character whilst offering a completely modern wellness experience.
The spa’s treatment menu has been developed in partnership with Skeyndor, the Spanish skincare brand renowned for its science-led innovations and clinical expertise. The approach brings advanced, clinically backed facial and body therapies to Edinburgh, elevating the spa experience to the standard of leading aesthetic clinics.

Every treatment begins with an in-depth skin consultation and diagnostic assessment, enabling therapists to tailor programmes to individual concerns - from single high-performance facials to longer-term skin health plans designed to deliver lasting results.
Among the hero treatments is the Power Up Vitamin C Facial (60 minutes, £210), a high-performance facial developed to address dullness, fatigue and uneven skin tone. Powered by Skeyndor’s advanced Vitamin C technology, the treatment delivers targeted antioxidant support while enhancing luminosity and skin vitality. Ideal as both a standalone radiance boost or part of a results-driven skincare programme, the treatment offers immediate freshness and long-term skin benefits.
Tailored arrival and departure rituals help guests reset after travel or recharge between city adventures, while the calm, contemporary environment focuses on science-based results delivered through advanced skincare expertise.
The Edinburgh Grand Spa is led by Catriona Ross, who has 12 years’ experience in luxury hospitality across the UK and UAE, including leadership roles at renowned properties such as The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, The Savoy, The Ned London, Atlantis The Royal and Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah.
A CIDESCO and ITEC-qualified therapist with Reiki Level 2 certification, Catriona is known for her holistic, guest-focused approach and commitment to creating impactful, results-driven wellness experiences.
Catriona Ross, Head of Spa and Wellness at The Edinburgh Grand, said:
“As Head of Spa & Wellness at The Edinburgh Grand, my goal is to create a results-driven spa founded on advanced skin expertise and personalised diagnostics, an approach that is notably unique within Edinburgh. Through our partnership with Skeyndor, we focus on measurable outcomes and strive to position the spa as the city’s trusted destination for skin health and refined service.”
The launch marks the final stage in The Edinburgh Grand’s transformation into Scotland’s first Luxury Collection hotel, having introduced refreshed interiors across the hotel’s suites, updates to the front foyer and executive lounge, enhancements to the fitness centre and The Register Club, and a series of curated guest touchpoints celebrating local culture.
These include experiences such as the Wandering Barman, in-room private chef omelette breakfasts, whisky nightcaps and a 24-hour concierge service offering personalised itineraries across the city.
Situated just moments from Waverley Station and within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and the Royal Mile, The Edinburgh Grand continues to appeal to leisure travellers, long-stay guests and business travellers alike.
