This summer, Le Meridien Maldives Resorts and Spa invites guests to rediscover the timeless beauty of the island, offering thoughtfully curated new experiences that celebrate wellness, culture, sustainability and family connection.

Nestled on the natural island of Thilamaafushi in Lhaviyani Atoll, this chic, eco-conscious hideaway seamlessly blends European elegance with the barefoot charm of the Indian Ocean. Guests are welcomed to enjoy the resort’s ever-evolving programme of events and experiences, whether seeking serenity, adventure, or reconnection, Le Méridien Maldives offers something tailored to every discerning traveller.
Padel by the Sea
As an exciting new addition to the resort’s offerings, Le Meridien Maldives has opened one of the region’s first professional-grade padel courts. Just steps away from the shoreline, the court is ideal for those of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned professional players. Guests can enjoy this social sport playing a casual game or having scheduled personalised lessons from professional coaches, with all equipment provided. The padel facilities complement existing wellness facilities, including a 24-hour fitness gym, open-air yoga pavilion, and the Explore Spa, where signature treatments are delivered in overwater rooms with glass floors and panoramic ocean views.
Family Fun and Connection
The resort’s expanded Family Programme invites young explorers to engage in hands-on, educational activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity, while giving parents the freedom to unwind. A highlight of the programme includes Kids Night Camping, where children embark on supervised island adventures such as games, storytelling, all while under the stars. Meanwhile, at The Kids Hub, daily activities range from cooking and mocktail-making classes to marine conservation projects, gardening in The Greenhouse, and marine biology workshops led by the resort’s resident scientist - each offering a fun and meaningful introduction to local ecosystems and sustainable living. For parents seeking a romantic dinner or a peaceful evening, babysitting services are also available.
Sip & Paint
Guests are invited to explore their artistic side at Sip & Paint evenings hosted at Le Vie, the resort’s new adults-only beachfront bar and pool lounge. Set against the backdrop of a Maldivian sunset, this relaxed event invites guests to unwind by painting the breathtaking island scenery, while sipping chilled rosé. Designed for all skill levels, these sessions encourage spontaneous artistic expression in a warm, beautiful setting. Le Vie also showcases the Rosé + Petit Plates dining concept, an elegant pairing of Mediterranean-inspired small plates and hand-selected rosé wines. Dishes such as Gambas al Pil-Pil and Smoked Patatas Bravas are crafted to reflect the essence of the Le Méridien lifestyle.
Island-to-table Philosophy
Le Meridien Maldives is proud to hold the Green Globe certification for their commitment to reducing its environmental impact and responsible travel. The resort’s on-site Greenhouse is one of the Maldives’ largest hydroponic farms at 430 square meters, producing up to 30kg of fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables daily supporting the resort’s island-to-table philosophy showcased at The Harvest Table. Guests can also partake in cooking classes that spotlight sustainable ingredients and conscious consumption.
Marine Conservation
Marine conservation remains at the forefront of the hotel’s sustainability mission. The Marine Conservation Hub, led by the resident marine biologist offers hands-on guest experiences such as coral propagation, reef awareness snorkelling and sea turtle tracking. These initiatives support long-term marine health and encourage guests to engage with and protect the ecosystems surrounding the island of Thilamaafushi.
