Hotels, guests, and communities across Fiji came together during IHG’s Giving for Good Month 2025, raising vital funds and delivering meaningful support through golf, coffee, kindness days, and local activations.

Communities across Fiji will feel the impact of thousands of kindness coffees poured, golf swings taken, and meals shared, as FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva together with Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course wrapped up Giving for Good Month 2025.
September is a special time for IHG hotels worldwide, with colleagues dedicating the month to giving back. In Fiji, the properties transformed this global initiative into a series of meaningful activities that united guests, colleagues, and partners in powerful ways.
From the fairways of Natadola Bay to the coffee counters of Suva, the results spoke volumes:
The Giving for Good Charity Golf Day at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course raised FJ$40,000, while the Carpark Café at Grand Pacific Hotel Suva raised FJ$10,000 to support improved facilities and care at Sigatoka Hospital.
Cup of Kindness Coffee Days generated FJ$2,500 per event, benefitting organisations including Chevalier Hostel, St Christopher’s Home, Sigatoka School for Special Education, and Moana Saint Clare Boys’ Home.
World Heart Day saw Fiji’s landmark hotels glow red, joining global icons in raising awareness for cardiovascular health. Read more here.
11th Annual Fiji Girls Surf Clinic at Natadola Bay, with InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa provided lunches and venue support to mostly local women and young girl participants.
Frank Hilton Organization’s Bara Battle (Amazing Wheelbarrow Race) united IHG colleagues in support of children with disabilities.
Food Pack Distribution delivered 420 packs over seven days to families in Nadi and Suva.
Together, these activities raised tens of thousands of dollars and highlighted how small acts of generosity can create lasting community impact.

“Giving for Good is more than a campaign. It is a reminder that when we share what we have, even in small ways, we change lives. Whether through a cup of coffee or a day on the golf course, the generosity of our teams and guests shows that hospitality in Fiji is about heart as much as service. I could not be prouder of how our colleagues came together with purpose and passion every year.” commented Lachlan Walker, Regional General Manager, Fiji & Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
“The FJ$50,000 we raised for Sigatoka Hospital represents a significant investment in a facility relied upon by our guests, colleagues, and surrounding communities. Rather than a cash donation, we will work closely with the hospital to deliver repairs and improvements in the areas they identify as most needed. We sincerely thank everyone who supported this important cause.”
Giving for Good Month is IHG Hotels & Resorts’ annual global initiative encouraging colleagues to volunteer, fundraise, and support causes that matter to their communities. In Fiji, the month connected world-class hotels, local charities, and grassroots organisations to create an impact that crossed borders and generations.
