Arlisya Murninda is the Director of Marketing, Communications and Business Development of Atmosphere Wellness Pvt. Ltd and the Winner of the latest Hospitality Shining Stars Awards. We asked Arlisya about her journey in the industry, her vision and daily inspiration.

What inspires you on your career journey in hospitality?
Growing up, I was fortunate to travel with my parents and stay in some beautiful hotels and resorts—experiences I’ve always cherished. What truly sparked my curiosity, though, was seeing those mysterious doors marked “Private” or “Staff Only.” I often wondered what went on behind them, and that curiosity eventually led me to study Hospitality Management. From the moment I earned my Bachelor’s degree and stepped into the world as a management trainee, I knew this was where I belonged.
Building a brand in hospitality means crafting memorable, heartfelt experiences that guests carry with them long after they leave. That is what continues to drive me every day.
What inspires me most is the authenticity of this industry—hospitality at its core is about genuine human connection, empathy, and emotional intelligence. I’ve always seen it as an intangible art form, where we don’t just serve; we create feelings.

What advice do you wish you had received when you made your first steps in Sales & Marketing?
That it’s completely okay to fail. Not every campaign or strategy will work right away, and that’s part of the process. Growth comes through trial, error, and resilience. I wish someone had told me earlier to lean into the learning curve and trust that persistence, paired with passion, will always lead you forward.
How has the industry changed since you started your career, and what is your vision of the future of hospitality and wellness?
Early in my career, there were doubts about whether women could rise to leadership roles in hospitality. Looking around now, I’m proud of how far we’ve come—and even more excited about where we’re headed. My vision for the future is a seamless integration of hospitality and wellness, making well-being accessible, inclusive, and deeply rooted in local culture. I believe in wellness that reflects empathy, creativity, and connection—like art therapy, which represents a form of soft power that builds emotional bridges between people.
How can the Hospitality Leadership Club contribute to the positive development of the industry?
By continuously facilitating meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange. When we come together to share best practices, challenge norms, and uplift one another, we drive progress across the entire industry. Creating space for open, honest conversations—especially about innovation, sustainability, and leadership—can only elevate our collective future.
