This December, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An, Vietnam marks 10 years of extraordinary experiences, celebrating a journey that has shaped its place among the most iconic destinations in the region.

Through the past decade, Four Seasons has continued to expand and evolve the ways in which travellers experience Central Vietnam—from thoughtfully refurbished villas to innovative dining concepts and immersive wellness retreats—while staying true to its original vision of locally rooted luxury. The design language remains unmistakeably Vietnamese, daily rituals are guided by a philosophy of harmony, and lush coastal landscapes are at the heart of the guest experience.

“Ten years on, our resort continues to balance legacy with transformation, honouring the roots that make it unique while continuing to enrich our offerings for today's travellers,” says Marcel Oostenbrink, General Manager. “As we mark this milestone, we look forward to creating even more meaningful opportunities for guests to connect with the heritage and beauty of Hoi An.”

Lauded by leading voices in the industry, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai has maintained its Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for eight consecutive years while securing two Michelin Keys in 2026—accolades that speak to its consistent excellence and warm, generous hospitality.

Newly Renovated Villas

Villa refurbishments reveal a renewed expression of seaside luxury, introducing refreshed interiors and thoughtful enhancements while preserving the local character that has defined the Resort since its earliest days.

Originally conceived as a modern take on Hue's garden houses, the renovated One-Bedroom Villas and Family Villas retain their standout features—timber roofs, feng shui layouts, elevated sleeping platforms, and uninterrupted sightlines to the sea—while bringing in fresh colour, texture, light, and space. A scenic bay window offers additional room to unwind, while artisanal materials and locally inspired silhouettes reflect the region's enduring crafts.

Newly renovated with a contemporary coastal aesthetic, the Signature Three-Bedroom Pool Villas represent the latest chapter in this evolution, offering expanded space and flexibility for families and friends travelling together. Interiors are transformed with calming hues and airy finishes that mirror the shoreline beyond, while enhanced infinity pools and private gardens invite guests to gather and celebrate life's special moments.

Culinary Evolution

With inventive dining concepts, seasonally changing menus, and exclusive collaborations with visiting chefs, there is always something new to savour at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai.

At Lá Sen, a new gastronomic direction draws inspiration from Central Vietnam's coastline, fields, and foodways, reimagining time-honoured recipes through a contemporary lens. Chef Heath Gordon's modern compositions sharpen flavour and finesse, while sustainably sourced ingredients, including from the Resort's own organic garden, ground the journey firmly in the surrounding landscape.

At NAYUU, the region's first omakase restaurant, Japanese artistry takes centre stage. Served directly across the counter, Chef Alex Moranda's seasonal menu showcases traditional techniques, Japanese wagyu, and seafood from Tokyo's fabled Toyosu Market—paired with Hoi An's only collection of sparkling draft sake.

Debuting on the beachfront last year, Sol & Sao follows the changing rhythm of the day, moving from morning espressos to starlit cocktails and Vietnamese tapas. Home to the country's largest collection of sherry, the breezy bar offers another distinct setting to unwind by the East Sea.

A Living Legacy

Lotus lagoons, verdant gardens, and shaded pathways extend across the Resort's 86-acre (35-hectare) grounds, linking private villas to Ha My Beach. A thriving herb and vegetable garden supplies fresh produce not only to the restaurants but also The Nam Hai Cooking Academy, where guests learn to make authentic Vietnamese dishes.

Cherished local traditions unfold through quiet moments, from visits to the on-site temple to shared ceremonies such as the Thap Nen candle-lighting ritual and Goodnight Kiss to the Earth, where handwritten wishes are set afloat upon the water.

Three nearby UNESCO World Heritage sites—Hoi An Ancient Town, the Imperial City of Hue, and My Son Sanctuary—can be explored through private tours, while curated experiences invite guests to discover fishing villages, life on the river, and regional flavours. The Resort's signature excursion, Discover Hoi An Hidden Gems, reveals a deeper rhythm, tracing a path through small family kitchens and generations-old artisan workshops.

The Heart of the Earth Spa

Inspired by the teachings of Vietnamese Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, the Heart of the Earth Spa approaches wellness as a holistic practice. Crystal singing bowls tuned to 432 Hz, the frequency of mother nature, accompany treatments and therapies, while daily yoga and meditation make revitalisation a part of the stay's rhythm.

A calendar of Visiting Practitioners and annual retreats brings additional wellness perspectives throughout the year, welcoming guests to slow down and recharge deeply. The Resort has won multiple recognitions for its wellness offerings, including being named Best Spa Resort in Vietnam by The Luxury Spa Edit Global Spa Awards 2026 and Best Global Wellness Resort of the Year by SpaChina for three consecutive years.
