Escapade Unveils Plans for Its Second Signature Hotel, Trackside at the Home of the Belgian Grand Prix

The pioneering hospitality brand Escapade has revealed plans for a new signature hotel and residences just metres from some of the most hallowed tarmac in the world - the Spa-Francorchamps racetrack in Belgium.

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps first hosted a Grand Prix a century ago and is one of just a handful of venues used in the inaugural 1950 F1 season still on the calendar of global motorsport's most prestigious contest.

Escapade will develop and manage a 68-bedroom hotel next to Eau Rouge - one of the track's most fabled corners - offering world-class hospitality and supporting Spa's sporting, commercial and cultural activity all year round.

The brand behind Escapade Silverstone, the all-suite hotel development on the track at the home of the British Grand Prix, Escapade will also develop and manage six standalone residences comprising a further 23 bedrooms at La Source - the hairpin bend next to the exhilarating straight that marks both the start and finish at Spa-Francorchamps.

Fringed by the track and the Ardennes Forest, the €30m hotel and residences are due to open in 2028 and will bring together high-end accommodation, a trackside restaurant and bar, wellness and flexible event spaces to enable the circuit's evolution into a destination that attracts international visitors far beyond race weekends.

Gensler, the global architecture, design and planning firm, has produced a design that will sensitively restore two historic buildings on the site while also taking cues from the unique setting; curves that echo the natural flow of the track and Eau Rouge river and materials that match Spa's woodland setting - timber, local stone and metal accents that will weather gracefully through the Ardennes seasons.

Escapade Spa-Francorchamps will also provide a significant and enduring boost to the economy of the Wallonia region through the creation of permanent hospitality, operations and event jobs, as well as year-round demand for local suppliers and service providers.

With F1 committed to racing at Spa-Francorchamps until at least 2031, the Grand Prix is the highlight of the circuit's packed racing season. But Escapade Spa-Francorchamps will operate year-round; in addition to race weekends, the development will support testing programmes, driver training, corporate events and private functions. During the off-season, the circuit will host cycling, running and endurance events as well as wellness retreats.

Gensler's design responds to the direction and elevation of the track, with nods to the forest setting and climate. Materials and forms have been chosen to perform in a demanding circuit environment while delivering a refined, contemporary hospitality experience in keeping with one of the world's most celebrated motorsport venues.

Fully managed and operated by Escapade, the hotel and residences at Spa-Francorchamps will form part of Escapade's growing portfolio of circuit-integrated destinations. By creating a lasting hospitality presence and year-round destination, they will support the circuit's long-term ambitions and reinforce its position on the global motorsport calendar.
